Katarzyna Włodarczyk

Katarzyna Włodarczyk is a graduate of the Vocal and Acting Department
at the I. J. Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań, from the class
of prof. dr hab. K. Rymarczyk, prof. dr hab. A. Kowtunow
and prof. dr hab. I. Górska-Krasiel.

During her studies she started working with the Grand Theater
in Poznań (Poland), where she made her role debut as Blumenmädchen
(R. Wagner, “Parsifal”, cond. G. Chmura). In the following years she sang,
among others – Mercédès (G. Bizet, “Carmen”), L’enfant (M. Ravel,
“L’enfant et les sortilèges” dir. R. A. Braun), Annina (G. Verdi, “Traviata”),
Sacerdotessa (G. Verdi, “Aida”) and Fyodor (M. Mussorgsky, “Boris Godunov”).

From 2012 to 2014, Katarzyna participated in many master classes organized
by the Opera Academy, under the patronage of ENOA – European Network
of Opera Academies at the Grand Theater – National Opera in Warsaw.

From 2016-2018, she was a scholarship holder of the International Opera
Studio at the Komische Oper in Berlin, where she performed parts, incl. L’Enfant,
die Katze (A. K. Şendil, „Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten”), 3. Waldelfe
(A. Dvořak, „Rusalka”, dir. B. Kosky), Mrs. Alexander (P. Glass, „Satyagraha”,
dir. S. L. Cherkaoui), Céphie (P. Rameau, „Zoroastre”, dir. T. Kratzer,
cond. Ch. Curnyn), Heloise (J. Offenbach, „Blaubart”, dir. S. Herheim,
cond. S. Soltész). Together with this theatre she made guest appearances
in Beijing (China), Tokyo, Hiroshima & Osaka (Japan) as well as Paris
(Opéra-Comique, France), playing the role of “Die Zweite Dame” in a famous
“Die Zauberflöte” (W.A. Mozart) production, created by B. Kosky and Team 1927.

In 2018, Włodarczyk was invited to the Mozart Academy at the Festival
Aix-en-Provence (France). That same year she started a guest cooperation
with the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf (Germany),
singing for two consecutive seasons as L’enfant (dir. Team 1927).

After finishing the Opera Studio, Katarzyna joined the ensemble of
the Landesbühnen Sachsen in Radebeul/Dresden (Germany),
where she made her role debut as Hänsel (E. Humperdinck, “Hänsel
und Gretel”), Varvara (L. Janáček, “Káťa Kabanová”) and “Die Königin”
(P. Lund, “Der Frosch muss weg!”).

In 2019, she moved to Rostock (Germany) and beginned to work at
the Volkstheater Rostock, getting the roles such as: Lucretia (B. Britten,
“The rape of Lucretia”), Olga (P. I. Tchaikovsky, “Eugene Onegin”),
Cherubino (W. A. Mozart, “Le nozze di Figaro”) or Hannchen
(E. Künekke “Der Vetter aus Dingsda”).

Katarzyna Włodarczyk also performs in concerts. Among others,
she performed together with the Gorzów Philharmonic (G. Duchnowski,
“Veni Creator” oratory), Opole Philharmonic (M. Palmeri, “Missa Tango”),
Poznań Philharmonic (including e.g.: J. S. Bach, “Magnificat”,
A. Vivaldi, “Introduzione e Gloria”, W. A. Mozart, “Krönungsmesse”),
the National Philharmonic in Warsaw (program of polish songs
“Music of my soul”, together with M. Koziel), the Elbland Philharmonie
Sachsen as well as the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock
(L. v Beethoven, “9. Simfonie” and concert of selected arias,
broadcasted live by NDR Kultur Radio Deutschland).

Throughout her career the soloist has recorded two CDs. The first
recording was to register “966.pl” – oratorio composed by J. Sykulski,
together with the Poznań Philharmonic and Ł. Borowicz. The second was
a recording of a world wide premiere of “Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten”,
children opera by A. K. Şendil, with the Komische Oper Berlin.

Apart from the opera, Włodarczyk has been developing in the field
of vocal coaching. Wanting to become a better teacher, she started
the training for vocal educators, under the patronage of the „Natural
Voice Perfection” association. Furthermore, she got certified as
a crisis consultant, under the supervision of Dr. E. Kluska-Łabuz,
at the Positive Institute of Crisis Therapy.
